Mid-market vs what you pay
This tool shows indicative exchange rates derived from European Central Bank reference data via the Frankfurter API. “Mid-market” is a benchmark between buy and sell prices; banks, airports, and card networks usually apply spreads, fees, or dynamic conversion (DCC) that change the effective rate.
Always confirm the final amount on your statement or receipt before treating a conversion as binding.
When to use a currency converter
Travel budgeting, comparing remote salaries, pricing products for international stores, and sanity-checking invoices are common uses. Pair the output with your actual payment method’s rate when money moves across borders.
Rates update on ECB publication schedule (typically weekdays). Weekend or holiday gaps may show the last published figure until markets refresh.
